Keisuke is back and this means it is time for an event we also are very lucky to have CPR here at the same time, he played live at VOOV in 2002 and will be treating us with a mix set. That's right two international artists for your aural pleasure.

October
Psychohalloween - Sat 30th 2004
Saturday was an interesting day and night with thunder, lightening and torrential rains that caused millions of dollars of damage to the University of Hawaii. Fortunately our event seemed to be the only place on the island that did not get one drop of rain which brought a somewhat magical element to it. Thanks to everyone who had the faith and made the effort to find us during such extreme weather. We were very pleased to have Keisuke from Matsuri Productions play a great set for us. There is still a chance to catch this sonic shaman on November 14th at The River on River St in downtown Honolulu.

September
The Vortex - Sat 25t 2004
Thank you to all those who made this event a huge sucess we couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to the sonic shaman who's music created the temporary temple that night and thanks to all the volunteers who donated their time to bring us such a good vibe party.

Psy News
USA
In general, the U.S. joins China and the African continent as the backwater for psychedelic trance. It pales in comparison to what's happening right now in Mexico; indeed the biggest thrill is doing trance - and thriving - within the cracks of what some call a fascist state. First the good news. After recovering from the demise of consummate megapromoter Synthetic Sadhus in 2003, 2004 is easily the best year for trance on the East Coast since 2000-2001. And that's with a general post 9/11 restriction on many travelers and artists entering the country. New York is currently resurgent with open air festivals almost every weekend competing with occasional megaclub appearances by Yahel and Infected Mushroom - and a myriad of events by Ecliptic Trance and Alladin project in between. Tsunami is taking a breather before relaunching with Hallucinogen at I.R.A. fronted club Spirit in September. A steady stream of small free parties throughout the week keeps everyone connected, and there are several trance coops such as 55 Lex that recall the heyday of CCC in San Francisco. New York's underground scene has resurrected with the Devotional Ministry of Trance doing Full Moon parties under a bridge in the ghetto under full knowledge of local police with 200-300 attendees with a DJ crew from a different city playing each lunar month - Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Ohio - with live rituals such as fire and live chest hook suspensions. Boston continues to host a fairly packed schedule of early evening events. Large festivals this summer include Gaian Mind in West Virginia, Omnifest in upstate New York and Neptunalia in North Carolina.
Burning Man is the event of the year, but it's not a psy-trance only event, and as it's grown the psytrance influence has been watered down. Aaron Ocelot from Chaishop just released his new CD "Psychotria Viridis". In Los Angeles, PsyTribe celebrated its 7th anniversary. Apollo's Lute is very active in Oregon with the Enosa festival the big news of the summer. The war over the minds of American youth will continue to be fought. The future of the world is at stake. Esoteric news
The object is to learn from the Whole-implication reflected back from the partial perspectives and delimited Identity-investments so as to be awakened to the Context in which the entire thing takes place; the object is to quicken and align oneself not in accord with the conceptual estimates of cronic Self-reference but according to the Whole-being value in which everything occurs (even as distorted fragmental impressions of it!) against the uncompromising Standard-of-which everything is ultimately reflected, weighed, measured and evaluated.
